Selena is convinced that The Agency, an organization with spies, has picked her to rule the world one day. This leads her to ignore those around her and hyper-fixate newspapers for messages from The Agency.
Arthur is a transfer student who joins The Garden Club. Apparently the club is somewhat exclusive, and the group is visiting Kykuit. While there, he comes out of his shell a bit and makes friends, and maybe even finds mildly implied eventually romance.
Hundreds of years in the future, humans live on other planets because Earth became uninhabitable due to pollution. A plan to help Earth heal, called Reconstruction 01, has been put in place so Earth can start to recuperate. James is a black market dealer who flies down to Earth against the law in order to sell Earth artifacts. He heads to an oil rig that his black market contact says has some form of energy/life on it.
That was a big description for a 20ish minute game XD.
I decided that in order to help me get motivation to function and actually do things, I thought a goal or challenge might help. So I present to myself the NaNoRenO challenge. I’m going to go back all the way to the first NaNoRenO in 2005 and slowly work my way up to the present, playing most/all of the games each year. I intend to go relatively in order, but I might skip around a bit based on length and such.
Force motivation to do things to counter my clinical depression
Get through some backlog (though this is also drastically increasing my backlog, so)
Increase amount of blog content
Live-tweet about it. I want more Twitter interaction and follower interaction in general, so I thought live-tweeting while I’m playing might help, and it just sounds fun
Attempt to play one a day, but accept that probably won’t happen
Actually do it
AKA, stipulations I am adding on for my own well-being
Skip most demos. I don’t like playing demos really. If it’s a game I want to play, why play a demo for it? Just get the full version lol. And some of these older NaNoRenO games are so old, the demos mean they just aren’t going to get done. No sense getting invested in part of a story with no hope of finishing
I maintain the right to skip over games with content I don’t like. I don’t plan on doing this often, but if something is insane to me, I’m not going to play it. I might skip very NSFW games as well
Free games take priority cause your girl is poor
*The image is the 2018 NaNoRenO logo that I removed the words from then actively tried to make it look like it was edited in 2005 in paint.
Summer Paradise and Redux follow Casey, a girl coming back to her home town on vacation after having been gone for years. There, she has to try to find a date for a party going on. Could one of her childhood friends be her date? Or could someone else?
Summer Paradise was created by Ran, a visual novel writer and creator. The game features free assets. Later, for NaNoRenO 2017, the visual novel group Godline picked the game up and made an updated remake of the game called Summer Paradise Redux. They consulted with Ran and added bonus scenes, CG’s and a CG gallery, and sprites made for the game.
My Magical Divorce Bureau!! follows a nameless divorce paper…filler…outer? In this world, all marriages are valid, so people kidnap others and force them into marriage so much, a new department was created to solve it, the “Magical Divorce Bureau.”
